It takes a great deal of time, energy, and love to make a premium instrument. Without sacrificing quality, we have found a way to make a "Simpler" version of our fine "Stroud" flutes... astetically pleasing and nearly as labor intensive as all our flutes the "Simple" flute is made with the same respect and care, each one being tunned electronically to A 440 and in "Key"s. These flutes are the "Real Thing" and sound very authentic! Each flute is hand shaped, sanded, signed, and dated. Minimal finish is applied and is a non-toxic salad bowl coating (as used on eating utensils). Please understand that Ward tries to make as many "simple" flutes as possible but demand upon his time limits the amout of "simple" flutes available.
